I just installed SA on all my websites with the student subscription and I think it’s great! But I don’t get how does it verify I’m the owner. I’m wondering because I don’t have to put a code in my website code like for GA4.

I’m not clear, but to guess I think the first account to ‘claim’ a website after the simple analytics code is installed becomes the owner.
You can read more about it here: Domain privacy | Simple Analytics Docs. We basically use the domain you see in the URL to match with that one you added in your dashboard.
